Christmas Sharing: December 13 and 14, 2024

It’s Christmas Sharing time again! Christmas Sharing of Wheaton Warrenville served close to 750 families last year. Our economy continues to be affected by many unknowns and we anticipate the need to be even greater for 2024.

During November, students in School District 200 will be able to donate gift cards or online funds to help less fortunate families in our area. You may be able to donate diapers and other items through your child’s school classroom. Sponsored by School District 200, churches in Wheaton & Warrenville, individuals and businesses, this program reaches to the corners of our community.

Families apply to participate in the program through their children’s school. They are then sent a letter of invitation to come to one of the three locations to pick up the gifts. Our collections will be mainly online and our distributions will be a combination of drive through and in-person. Distributions will take place at the following locations:

•  Dupage County Fairgrounds, Bldg. #1 hosted by Hope Community Church on Friday, December 13
•  Holy Cross Lutheran on Saturday, December 14
•  St. John Lutheran on Saturday, December 14

Wheaton churches assisting the Distributions are: First Presbyterian, Gary United Methodist and Trinity Episcopal. Warrenville churches assisting are: Community Baptist, Immanuel Presbyterian, and St. Irene Roman Catholic, and Trinity Lutheran.

This quiet miracle has happened in our community every year for the past 54 years. Won’t you please find it in your heart to help others that need help the most?
